"With this being the 4th of July, please be considerate when celebrating with fireworks. As a combat veteran, it brings up some PTSD and makes for a very uneasy night. This is a common issue of many veterans. Please refrain from shooting off any fireworks in the neighborhood, especially ones that have an explosive factor. Thank you for being mindful."

Municipal fireworks displays are usually not an issue for vets. They know when, where, and for how long the display will be. It's the inconsiderate neighbor who sets off his Sky Titan shells or cannon without warning, day and night.
