Who had the best year?

Post by T on Sun Jan 07, 2018 10:55 am

Which administration had the best year? According to Trumpery and his administration, it was not the "failed" Obama administration.

2.2 million jobs were created during Obama's last year in office

2 million jobs were created during Trumpery's first year in office.

“Can’t make it up: Obama now wants credit for the booming Trumpery economy. At least we can all agree the economy is better under President Trumpery.”

— White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckster Sanders, in a tweet, Dec. 10, 2017

Trumpery bragged (during a Fox interview) about the economy during his first year in office, calling it “one of the greatest (economic revivals) in the history of our country.”

“I’m not getting enough credit for it.” rage rage

Trumpery claimed that HE created 1 million jobs after six months as president.

Trumpery (in August): “I’ve created over a million jobs since I’m president!”

This tells you a lot about the narcissist-in-chief.  Most presidents and their administrations give credit to Americans, the economy, or businesses.

Trumpery takes the credit for himself.

Here's a look at how the economy has done since 2000.
The bars in blue highlight the Obama years.

As you can see, Trumpery's growth of 2 million jobs (2017)
lags Obama's jobs growth, six of the last seven years.

Must be FAKE NEWS!!

What about the unemployment rate?

Trumpery has claimed at least 19 times that the "jobs numbers" are FAKE.

Now that they are making him look good, they are the best thing since sliced bread.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here are some quotes from the Trumpery "swamp".

Sep. 7, 2012
“Unemployment rate only dropped because more people are out of labor force & have stopped looking for work. Not a real recovery, phony numbers”

Oct. 19, 2012
"7.8% unemployment number is a complete fraud as evidenced by the jobless claims number released yesterday. Real unemployment is at least 15%”

Aug. 11, 2013
“We can rev up this economy like it should be, not with false numbers like 7.4 percent unemployment. But with real numbers.”

May 31, 2014
“Unemployment is a totally phony number.”

June 16, 2015
“Our real unemployment is anywhere from 18 to 20 percent. Don't believe the 5.6. Don't believe it.”

Aug. 11, 2015
“Then you hear there's a 5.4 percent unemployment. It's really — if you add it up, it's probably 40 percent if you think about it.”

Aug. 30, 2015
“They show those phony statistics where we are 5.4 percent unemployment. The real number, I saw a number that could be 42 percent, believe it or not.”

Sept. 28, 2015
“I hear 5.3 percent unemployment, that is the biggest joke there is in this country. That number is so false.”

Sept. 29, 2015
“The number is not reflective. I have seen numbers of 24 percent. I saw a number of 42 percent unemployment. … That number is so false.”

Oct. 9, 2015
“They say 5.3 percent employment. The number is probably 32 percent.”

Oct. 11, 2015
“Nobody has jobs. … It is not a real economy. It is a phony set of numbers. They cooked the books.”

Jan. 17, 2016
“Look again, you hear these phony jobs numbers? People that gave up looking for jobs? They are considered employed.”

Feb. 9, 2016
“Don't believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5 percent unemployment. As high as 35 — as in fact, I heard recently, 42 percent.”

March 12, 2016
“The numbers are phony. These are all phony numbers. Numbers given to politicians to look good. These are phony numbers.”

May 24, 2016
“You hear a 5 percent unemployment rate. It's such a phony number. That number was put in for presidents and for politicians so that they look good to the people.”

July 7, 2016
“The phony 5 percent numbers that we hear about with the unemployment.”

Aug. 8, 2016
“The 5 percent figure is one of the biggest hoaxes in modern politics.”

Nov. 4, 2016
“The terrible jobs report that just came out … you can see phony numbers, 5 percent.”

Dec. 8, 2016
“The unemployment number, as you know, is totally fiction.”

Trumpery inherited low unemployment numbers from Obama.

The unemployment rate has steadily dropped from a high of 9.6% since 2011.

The rate was 4.8% when Trumpery took office, and was 4.1% in December, 2017.

Below are the averages since 2011. If any president can take credit for directly affecting the economy (and most cannot), surely Obama can.

Trumpery is such a BS artist, he's convinced 35% of the country he's the second coming of Christ.

Sad

Of course, Trumpery would argue that the numbers lie because "millions" of people have stopped looking for work and are no longer included in the statistics.

So, let's look at the U-6 rate.

This measure includes people who have given up looking for a job and people who are employed part-time because they can’t find work in their field.

It seems clear that a lot has happened to lower this rate long before Trumpery soiled the White House.

Sarah Huckster Sanders says it's ridiculous to give Obama credit for the economy.

Sanders: “We can all agree the economy is better under Trumpery.”

But, Trumpery’s economy is mostly due to the general direction started during the Obama administration. By almost every measure, the upward trends the Huckster and Trumpery talk about started while Obama was in office.

But Trumpery is the very stable genius. applause party

Here are a couple of examples of how sick it has become out there.  Trumpery's supporters just can't handle facts.  It's just FAKE, all FAKE, completely FAKE, FAKE, FAKE, FAKE.

Uh, all this poll proves is that Americans are stupid. Obama tanked the economy for 8 straight years. The fact that Americans foolishly believe Obama did anything good for them is merely a testament to how dumb they are.

Obama's policies took eight years to work. I have a better idea. Maybe it took 16 years for the Bush policies to work.

U.S. gains 223,000 jobs; unemployment at 18-year low of 3.8 pct.

By The Associated Press - June 1, 2018

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. employers extended a streak of solid hiring in May, adding 223,000 jobs and helping lower the unemployment rate to an 18-year low of 3.8 percent.

Average hourly pay rose 2.7 percent from a year earlier, a slightly faster annual rate than in April, the Labor Department reported Friday. But pay growth remains below levels that are typical when the unemployment rate is this low.

Still, the report shows that the nearly 9-year old economic expansion — the second-longest on record — remains on track.
