They don't hire just anyone.

There is a lot of background checks. Transportation is a must. Neat, clean clothes and shoes. An attitude of a go-getter. They also look for team players, willing to sub when there is a need. Intelligent, personable and honest and dependable.
And they drug test. Frequently.
I doubt if they would hire anyone on welfare.
The Governor of Florida felt the same way about people on welfare, so much so he pushed a law through congress requiring all welfare recipients be drug tested. Guess what they found? The incidence of drug use/abuse in the welfare community was LOWER than in the general population. The governor was forced to suspend the state law he supported that required drug testing for welfare recipients last year after a lawsuit was filed. A federal judge in Orlando temporarily blocked that law.

I thought they didn't have enough applicants to fill 100 or so positions??? I guess all those dirty, free-loading, lazy, criminal, drunken, drug using and abusing welfare recipients are submitting applications after all.
