Why is our Republican governor meddling in the private sector?

I thought Republicans wanted the government out of our business? And yet, they defend LePage's meddling.
It's the same inconsistency when it comes to taxes and spending. Republicans tax and spend just as much (actually more at times) as the Democrats, just on different things.
