The best thing to do for this person is to not respond period. Let it rant and rave all it wants. She needs to find her way, but feeding her just fuels the fire. She is clearly not qualified to be in any kind of leadership positions anywhere, and to respond to her attacks justifies her existence. Ignore her and hopefully she will go away. This kind of conversations do not help our community but continually set it back. We need no more ignorance than what we have now.

In a way, Mainiac, you are right .... but it's just so much fun! It's also important not to let her rantings go unchallenged, and although I often feel like I am back in 6th grade, I get a certain satisfaction seeing the arrogance and pomposity addressed. It will hopefully also help to keep her from ascending any further in local (or ANY) politics. (also, when she's ignored, she doesn't go away... she actually gets worse).

Mainiac, let Steve, Jolene and Rosie (oops! I mean T, DR, et.al) handle this...they are very good at it.

I would rather see you write something about regionalization and whether you think it could be looked at department by department, or if it should be taken as a whole concept all at once. Now that would be an interesting conversation.
