Absurd Book Deal
Sarah Palin is shopping her memoirs for a reported $11 million. Amazing when you consider Laura Bush sold her memoirs for less than $2 million.
But, who'll write the Palin book? Certainly not Sarah Palin.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

Re: Absurd Book Deal
She already has an autobiography
"Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment on Its Ear," by Kaylene Johnson
For some interesting news.........Palin just initiated a state hiring freeze due to a 1 BILLION, yes billion not million, dollar budget gap because of decreased oil prices. The budget she had proposed was based on high oil numbers that were not even close to what was predicted (way to live in fantasy land Sarah). Not only that but this might have a little to do with giving every citizen $1200 dollars (750 million total from the state budget) from the extra money earned from when the oil prices were so high. Hmmmm whats that saying a penny saved is a penny....

Re: Absurd Book Deal
What's the population of Alaska, 600,000 or so? That's a hefty budget deficit for a population that size. Florida has a $2.2 billion budget deficit with a population of nearly 18 million, and Florida is in serious trouble.911Dispatcher wrote:yes billion not million, dollar budget gap because of decreased oil prices.
Maybe Palin can sell off parts of Alaska to Russia?
...and the conservatives look to her as their leader?

Strong earthquake shakes southern Alaska: USGS
21 hours ago
WASHINGTON (AFP) — A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 shook southern Alaska on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said. The
quake's epicenter was located 56 kilometers (35 miles) west of the town
of Nanwalek, and about 259 km (161 miles) southwest of Anchorage, the
largest city in Alaska, the USGS said in a statement. The USGS initially measured the quake at magnitude 6.1, then revised the strength downward. There were no immediate reports of casualties or destruction. The quake occurred at a depth of 100 kilometers (62 miles), said the USGS.A
massive earthquake of magnitude 9.2 struck Alaska on March 27, 1964,
the second most powerful quake ever recorded. The epicenter was in
Prince William Sound, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) east of Anchorage. That
quake triggered a tsunami wave that struck along the US Pacific coast.
Only 131 people were killed, largely because the quake occurred on a
holiday weekend.Over the last 100 years an average of one earthquake of magnitude 7 has occurred in Alaska every year, according to the USGS.

Oh okay I see now, so God realized I'm on her side....Thanks Xmashen...I pray every day to God:
Please God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change
The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know Sarah Palin will NEVER be elected president.

Re: Absurd Book Deal
LOL....the guy that interviewed me wasn't very impressed. Of course I'm thinking when I laughed at him when he asked if I was scared it wasn't my best 15 minutes of fame. Then I mentioned that I knew they had felt the quake in Wasilla. He got all giggly and asked "isn't that Sarah Palins home town, and do you have a number for the department in Wasilla." GEEEEZZZ!!
