Sound familiar? Empty Sound familiar?

Post by T Sat Jul 19, 2008 11:17 pm

"Following Mrs. Pomelow's comments, Mr. Cote addressed many of the questions we have been asking and discussing amongst ourselves but have been afraid to address because of fear of retaliation from our grossly over-budgeted police force, which consists of at least 21 full-time officers receiving an average of $50,000 per year in a town that has virtually no crime."

Who's writing these "talking points"? Anyone? Anyone?

Given the style and quality of the writing, we could make an educated guess.

Maybe the reason that the town has no crime is because the police force is doing a good job??? I don't know it just seems to me when you ask somebody to do something like say keep crime down and out of streets and out of our schools and then facts come back saying all thoes are happening isn't that a care for them and not against? I don't know maybe I am just crazy but I would think if you ask someone to do a job and they get it done don't you reward them insted of attack them??

Just the nature of an officer's job demands a good paycheck. The higher the risk generally the higher the wage. I see many parallels between the LR's journalistic slant and TRR's

C, you are too nice! you pay them a favor by using the word "journalistic" even. Plus, the parallels are there for a reason, since they are largely written by the same person.
