“We don't think they're egregious citations,” Cole said.

Of course you don't when the buck stops at your desk.

It would seem to me that Scott Cole should either resign or be fired. That's what he has demanded of others.

Why can Scott Cole get away with such behavior?  When his subordinates "kick something over", he demands their resignation or they be fired.

He and LePage are cut from the same cloth.

PARIS — Oxford County Administrator Scott Cole has issued a formal apology to local police chiefs for remarks he made during a county commissioners meeting last week that were quoted in an article published in Monday's Sun

During a discussion of possible surveillance improvements at the Oxford County Regional Communications Center, Cole said police officers were spending an inordinate amount of their shift time at the dispatch center on Western Avenue in South Paris and local taxpayers were not getting the full value from their police officers.

In identical letters sent Tuesday to police Chiefs Jon Tibbetts of Oxford, Rob Federico of Norway and Michael Madden of Paris, Cole apologized for the statements.

"These remarks unfairly maligned your department in a public forum of county officials and employees," Cole said. "They were made in a flip manner and without an objective basis in fact. For this I am sorry."
