Ronald J. Theriault, 51, of Pine Street and Robert N. Gilbert, 54, of Canaan were issued summonses by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld and will be arraigned Dec. 4 in 11th District Court.

Rumford businessman pleads not guilty to Oct. 4 fight charges

RUMFORD — Prominent local businessman Ronald J. Theriault, who is accused of assaulting a Canaan man during a fight last week, entered a not-guilty plea with the court Friday by mail from his attorney.

Jarrod S. Crockett of Hanley and Associates in Bethel also requested a jury trial on behalf of Theriault, which means the case will be transferred to Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.
