TRR casino rage

Well, TRR has managed to blame a lone person for the possibility of a casino in Oxford instead of Rumford. Keep in mind that the referendum hasn't happened yet, and no site has yet been chosen.
To JSN: "Do YOU know what it means to represent a community and not 20 (or in your case 6) people?" Come on, tell us. Are YOU one of those illusive investors?

Add yet another person to her vendetta list. She's made a couple of blatant threats in the recent casino post. And hasn't she denied having any personal vendettas, instead putting the onus onto others? (That's a classic example of psychological projection.) I think this woman has NO self-awareness, which is fine by me as long as she's not attacking others.

JSN is making some pretty unfounded accusations. I am part of the RFP management, I know who Brad is but don't remember ever in my life speaking to him. To my knowledge he (or any of his family) has never posted on the forum or contacted the RFP. JSN is shooting in the dark hoping to hit a target but seems to be shooting herself in the foot instead.

It seems odd that a member of ANY of our municipal committees would be allowed to make these threats.

If Seth Carey had played his cards right (excuse the pun) and taken an up front approach, he would have garnered much more respect and support from this community regarding the casino effort. It's not fair to try to place blame anywhere else.

Let me repeat my suggestion that she be removed, voluntarily or not, from the finance commitee.She's not doing anyone any good there.

The Reporter is looking stupid on this one. As I just posted on another thread, Rumford doesn't have the location with necessary infrastructure to be a place for a casino, and is too far from Portland to make sense.

The people running the show now know what they're doing. The Reporter apparently doesn't.

Do you have any idea how many stupid, incompetent lawyers there are out there that never go in front of the Bar Association? How dare you and your friends use everything you can against him to make it appear that a young attorney just starting out his career is "constitutionally ineffective"? Are you happy now?

That's the trouble with the posted word...it never really goes away...glad TRR's post was edited but at the same time they are just adding to their own pile of collective troubles if anyone ever wanted to pursue. It would be wiser to have a written apology on record and not just an edited message. Oh well, it's their call.

Her initial post was classic TRR. Target - attack - discredit. Even if she took some the offending language towards Mr. Adley out, don't think for a minute that she doesn't mean it.

I believe she should be removed from town government positions as she clearly has a vendetta out against members of our board of selectmen and the Fire Department. She has made it clear that she is not objective in her dealings with the town.

Admin, correct me if I'm wrong. From many years back, I seem to recall that the Finance Committee members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of Selectmen. That would indicate that in order to remove JSN from the Finance Committee it would take a majority vote of the BOS. What's the chance of that?

I think you are correct, she serves at the pleasure of the selectmen. I also think this board would be reluctant to remove her but maybe they will talk wth her about her behavior. It's out of control and very damaging to our town.

It would take a majority of the board of selectman to remove JSN from the Finance board? My hypothetical prediction: a "nay" from Mr. Belanger; a "yea" from Mr. Adley; a "yea" from Mr. Cameron; a "nay" from Mr. Diconzo; and a "nay" from Mr. Boivin. Looks like three to two in her favor. (Please note the gambling reference.) But, really, she shouldn't be on ANY board. I don't think she has the fortitude to be reasonable and objective.

But hey! we could have our very own Norma Wells! (nothing against poor Norma, just using her as an example of the JSN modus operandi). I think if enough citizens complain about this clear conflict of interest, even her staunch supporters would have to take a second look at how ridiculous and embarrassing it is to have such a person on a public committee. Also, it's not as if she's in this benign position. She has , as part of the finance committee, some leverage (mostly her attack mechanisms) to do further damage. It's one thing to voice your opinion at a public meeting. It's quite another to attack everyone in your way by any other means available, legal or otherwise. She needs to be removed from that committee.

It's a good thing she (Jennifer Stowell-Norris) reads every word posted here and at the RFP as they are indirectly helping her stay out of civil court. The RVFP and the RFP are her conscience and counsel.
