The Palen/McCain "reform" ticket Empty The Palen/McCain "reform" ticket

Post by KevinNSaisi Thu Sep 18, 2008 9:12 pm

McCain doesn't know the difference between Spain and Latin America
Palen believes the war is God's will (just like the radical Muslims, but on the other side).
(Palen belongs to a radical religious sect that has been identified as being a cult)

It is 3:00am in the McCain White House, There is trouble in Spain, John McCain sends 10,000 troops to Buenos Aires and goes back to bed.

McCain is flopping like a fish (AIG Bailout: no way, okay, had to be done)
Palen thinks she is in charge

McCain is embedded in Washington Politics
Palen was President of the PTA.

How much experience does a two year governor have in the essentials of running the country?
Where is the accountability in troopergate??

"Bitter Rednecks" for McCain, NOT!!

It is 3:00am, and the phone rings in the Palen White House
would Sarah Palen know what to do???? Would she know who to call???

McCain thinks he can fire the SEC Chairman on his own, he can't. What else would he do without authority??

McCain thinks the middle class extends to people earning $5,000,000.

Who could possibly vote for these two??

Kevin, I see you've been drinking the Kool-Aid. You ask what experience a two-year governor has the essentials of running the country. I would ask what experience resides in a four-year Senator who has yet to author any legislation in either the U.S. Senate or the Illinois legislature before that. Obama's socialist-leaning tendencies scare the heck out of me. If anyone really believes that he will reduce taxes for ANYONE, I fear they are sadly mistaken. Beyond that, there is just too much about Obama that remains unknown. He hasn't been tested in any manner that shows him qualified to lead the U.S.A. His obvious lack of military experience frightens me given the current state of world affairs. Here is someone who thinks he can negotiate with radical states like Iran; what a delusion! Being a proud veteran, I don't want him being the commander-in-chief of my military. I want someone who has been in the trenches and the command tent and has the experience of leading men and women who are risking their lives for the security and betterment of this country. As for your other comments above, I won't even bother to address hypothetical situations - it's a waste of my time. As for Mrs. Palin: I frequently hear the comment that the elected officials in Washington have "lost touch" with the average American. Well from my perspective, Sarah Palin IS the average American. She is the mother of five children in a middle-class income household, who has balanced the enormous responsibilities of that function with the duties of an elected official at the municipal and state levels. She knows the cost of a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread as well as the kids' school lunches, the doctors and dentists, the PTA, the church, the utilities and insurances, and all the other financial worries that all of us experience on a daily basis. Does she have experience leading the country? No, but then how does one get experience like that without doing it. I trust that she will evaluate whatever situation is presented to her and formulate a reasonable and rational decision based upon her judgement and values. Now, I'm not a big proponent of John McCain for president, but given the choices, I'll go with the devil I know rather than the devil I don't know. Bottom line: I could possibly vote for those two.

This is a narrow minded position. You are excluding millions of Americans who have the potential to be a great commander-in-chief.

Kevin, that was TOO funny!

It's no secret I think it's time for change, good change, not more of the same change.

Perhaps it is, but there are some areas in which I will not compromise. I shuddered when Bill Clinton was elected, and I was less than overjoyed when George W. followed him. But at least W. had the benefit of some type of military training. Bill was out protesting the U.S. Government in London while he was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. I think you'll find that the vast majority of those who have worn our country's uniforms and sworn to defend the Constitution against all enemies - foreign and domestic share my narrow-minded position .

As for Obama's legislative authorship, if my statement is untrue, please list one bill that he wrote, NOT sponsored.

Primarily because Mrs. Palin will have the opportunity to benefit from the experience and leadership ability of John McCain - at least for some period of time. Even if McCain doesn't live through the four-year presidential term, Mrs. Palin will gain executive experience by being second in command. Mr. Obama will have to start from day one with no leadership experience. Who will be his tutor? Joe Biden? Nancy Pelosi? No thank you. You think her resume is weak? So is Mr Obama's; and at least she won't be sitting at the desk that epitomizes "the buck stops here".

Being the mother of five children is not "average" today ("average" is about two). Certainly being the governor of a state and raising five children at the same time is not "average".

We don't know her family income as she has not disclosed it. I've read various reports estimating the family income to be anywhere between $125,000 and $300,000 annually. If it's at the higher end of these estimates, she would be one of the relatively few Americans who would see a tax increase under an Obama administration. The "average" American would not see a tax increase.

She doesn't seem very average to me. Or, maybe I'm below "average".

Authored vs Sponsored? That's what is important? Most recently, conservatives claimed that Obama had not sponsored and passed any legislation. That claim was easily proven false. So now the critics have reduced the criticism to who actually put the "pen to paper" and wrote the bills?

Amazing...

Kevin, for the record, the word cult per Webster's: 1: formal religious venereration: worship 2: a system of religious beliefs and ritual; also its body of adherents, etc. Catholocism is a cult, granted a very large one, but a cult nonetheless by definition.

Sarah and Todd Palin wanted Alaska to secede from the USA, that makes me wonder why she would even WANT to be Vice President of the USA when she didn't even want her state to be part of our country...

McCain was a POW for a long time, I wonder if as he ages there might be any residual psychological effects that may surface or could negatively influence any critical decisions he may have to make under what could be very stressful circumstances.

Todd Palin WAS a member of a separatist party that advocated secession by Alaska from the United States. Sarah Palin NEVER was a member of that political party; she has remained a registered Republican since she first registered to vote. And incidentally, it hasn't been that many years since the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard wanted to secede from Massachusetts, or more recently that Killington wanted to secede from Vermont and become part of New Hampshire. Were you also outraged at those occurrences? I suspect that you are so fearful of Mrs. Palin becoming a successful Vice President that you are creating any possible spin to discredit her.

That was simply the one of the points I found interesting. I'll admit I've not been following politics too closely. I already know who I'm voting for. I think Sarah Palin would do fine as a VP but don't think she has the life or government experience that would qualify her to lead this country. Given the age of McCain the chances are higher that she may end up in that position. I was puzzled and surprised at McCain's choice of running mate, he must think her the best candidate on a personal level because I don't see anything strategic about the choice that is a benefit to his own presidential campaign.

Before you become completely enamored with Mr. Obama's "Tax Cut Plan" you might want to visit www.electiontaxes.com and test your personal information against the current tax proposals of Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain. I tried it, and I fared better under McCain's plan...and I am definitely NOT above the middle class economically. See where you stand.

WASHINGTON (Sept. 27) - A conservative columnist who welcomed Sarah Palin's entry in national politics says she's proven to be a dud and should step aside as John McCain's running mate.

Kathleen Parker, writing in the National Review Online, says her "cringe reflex is exhausted" after watching the Alaska governor stumble through TV interviews and it's become clear to her that Palin is out of her league. .....

By The way...

Governor Palin never visited the Alaskan island where you can "keep an eye on Russia", and Russian planes have not violated Alaskan air space in the past few years, and certainly not with the leader of Russia on board. So, that takes away Sarah Palin's "foreign policy" experience.

Reliable reports indicaten that Sarah Palin is a member of a religious sect that was disassociated with the Assemblies of God for bring too radical. Their doctrine directs members to infiltrate all levels of government. She was picked by the Radical Religious Right, which is why McCain hasn't dropped her. If he lets her go, the support of the Radical Right goes with her.
