Isn’t it ironic that the party which claims voter fraud is rampant in Maine, and nationally, is the party caught with its hand in the cookie jar! But, I suppose Maine's citizens aren't really paying attention.  After all, they re-elected LeBuffoon.

Let’s review:

** On Election Day in Senate District 25, Democrat Catherine Breen of Falmouth appeared to have won, by 32 votes, a close race over Republican Cathleen Manchester of Gray.

** After a recount, Republican Cathleen Manchester was declared the winner by 11 votes.

** The main reason for the reversal was the inclusion of 21 additional ballots from the town of Long Island that were discovered on the night of recount.

All 21 newfound ballots contained a vote for Republican Cathleen Manchester of Gray.

** There is no documentation that any voters cast those 21 additional ballots.

** The 21 ballots were not accounted for in the original count from Long Island’s election warden.

** On Election Day, 171 ballots were cast in Long Island, including absentees. That’s the same number of documented voters on the manifest on Election Day.

** After the new ballots were discovered on recount day, 192 total ballots were counted.

There are 21 more ballots from Long Island than there are documented voters.

** These 21 untraceable ballots made the difference in declaring Republican Cathleen Manchester the winner.

** Marc Malon, Democratic Party Senate caucus director, and GOP lawyer Bill Logan, both reviewed the voter manifest and confirmed that the 21 additional ballots could not be accounted for.  applause

Another way of putting it...  party

"We have a Democrat win an election, the Republican loser demands a recount. Somehow in the recount, 21 mysterious ballots appear out of nowhere. All 21 ballots are for the Republican loser. The election results are changed by the new, yet still unexplained ballots. The Democratic lawyer is understandably curious and refuses to accept the outcome without further investigation. Now the fun begins. Enter into the mess lawyer for the GOP. He declares that no further recount is needed. Instead the issue is set to be solved by incoming REPUBLICAN Senate President."

What I expect to hear next from the Republicans/Tea Partiers and their defenders is their assertion that Democrats stuffed the Long Island ballot box with Republican votes so as to make it appear the Republicans were perpetrating voter fraud.

Those damn Democrats... party

applause

Poor, innocent Republicans can't catch a break...  Wink
