Dixfield board drops Pickett over town meeting comments

“That was not his intent,” said Coffin [of the Portland law firm of Lambert Coffin]. “Any comments made by him [Pickett] at town meeting are protected by the First Amendment.”

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note
