What if it was her stuff?

No where in the job
description of the Library Director does it include raiding a store on
Congress Street for suspected stolen CDs with no warrant. Yup, the cops
and the library director raided the store and took the stuff. No
warrant. Under investigation??? Please. The guy won't get charged and
the Library Director got his DVRs back but constitutional
rights were trampled on! What is going on herer?

This is her way: She slanders two people by twisting reality and printing her garbage as though it is the truth.
Did the librarian actually "raid" the store? No, he merely checked to see if his stolen items had been pawned. They HAD been. So, he notified the police.
JSN inaccurately sensationalizes anything having to do with those who are on her very extensive vendetta list. In this case, members of the library and police force.

Not only that but I believe its the same in Maine as it is in Alaska, laws exist for pawn shops and stolen items?

The Rumford Reporter Wrong buddy, they didn't know for sure that the DVRs were stolen. They just assumed. There was no way to trace them back, therefore, it was a violation of the owner's rights to just seize the property. The cops gotta follow the rules, too.

If I remember correctly, the items were marked with the normal library codes. So, again, she's making this stuff up and printing it as fact!

Thank you, dr. I tried to find some kind of article on it, but had no luck. I still question her position on "constitutional rights", though. She seems to have no concern about a person's constitutional rights against slander and libel.

I remember reading the article, but I can't find it. Maybe it was in the Times?
