Obama VS Trumpery VS Women's March - You decide which crowd is YUGE! (Big Jim will blow a gasket!)
One of the first things Trumpery whined about (through his press secretary) was how the dishonest media was inaccurately reporting the attendance at his inauguration. What a freakin' crybaby.

Spicer: "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in-person and around the globe."

Spicer claimed the sparse appearance of the crowds was due to the white floor coverings used on the National Mall, which Spicer said had the effect of "highlighting areas where people were not standing, while in years past, the grass eliminated this visual."

Former top Trump staffer Brad Parscale, who was digital director during the campaign, conceded the small size of the inauguration crowd in comparison to the Women’s March.

MEDIA we get it. More people showed up for other events. Trump supporters are everyday Americans, $1000/day in D.C. is no joke. #elitists

Re: Obama VS Trumpery VS Women's March - You decide which crowd is YUGE! (Big Jim will blow a gasket!)
On his first full day in office, Donald Trumpery gave a speech at CIA headquarters in which he lied about the size of the crowd at his inauguration.
A couple of hours later, Press Secretary Spicer lied about the size of the inaugural crowd and took no questions.
Trumpery also falsely claimed at CIA headquarters, that he had never feuded with the U.S. intelligence community.
What's important here?
Not the size of the inaugural crowd. Not that Trumpery was critical of the intelligence community. Not that the first official words out of the new press secretary's mouth were lies. They all lie in DC, don't they?
What’s important is that the president and his administration chose to lie, repeatedly, on their first full day on the job, about a trivial, easily fact checked, issue.
If they are so willing to repeatedly lie about something so trivial on their first day in office, what can we expect from them in the future?

Below is a comment I found on the internet regarding Trumpery, Spicer, and crowd size (size really does matter, to Trumpery ).
I thought it was worth sharing.

Normally I don’t go into politics. It is impossible for me to stand with full confidence behind any candidate when so many are pathological hypocrites and liars, and so much of the actual work is done behind closed doors with backdoor corporate handshakes. I’m also all about giving our new president a completely fair chance, even agreeing on some of his points. But to have your first “press conference” begin with BLATANT misinformation about such an ego-driven detail about his inauguration numbers, have not one mention of the huge worldwide protest going on right outside their doors, and take absolutely no questions from the press is absolutely a reason to take note. You can only think this is done for one of 2 reasons, maybe both:
1) It takes media attention away from the massive Women’s March going on worldwide and right back on him. Any press is good press in the celebrity world and he always knows how to get the attention of the press.
2) They are knowingly spreading propaganda because his inauguration crowd needed to be the “biggest crowd ever” because he needs to be seen as an outright “winner” even if it means outright lying.
I don’t care where you stand politically, there are some disturbing precedents being set here that are completely out of the norm of everyday American politics. We owe it to ourselves to get beyond labeling and name-calling and stupid memes and genuinely make an attempt to be informed. Whether you see certain outlets being biased or not, it is our First Amendment right to have a free press and allow that press to hold our public officials accountable for their actions.
