He had a "Blue Pass"

Trumpery, et. al., gave Michael Wolff unfettered access to the West Wing of the White House (Wolff had a "Blue Pass" and hung out and slept on sofas for the last several months) for the sole purpose of writing a flattering book about Trumpery.

But now that the book is out...

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “mistake after mistake after mistake” “I think you have to look at this author’s track record,” before referring to Fire and Fury as “tabloid gossip,” “full of lies,” and “some trash by an author no one had heard of until today.”

Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley: "Michael Wolff is a crackpot fake news fiction writer" “This is obviously a hit job on the president, but one that is filled with lies, and we believe that the future will prove our side of that case."

Trump the Chump... can be so easily played.

Almost everyone in the White House (staff members, interns, journalists, contractors, Secret Service agents, military personnel, visitors, etc.) must wear badges with their picture, name, and status. These badges are color coded to reveal the access that person is allowed around the White House complex.

For interns, the access levels range from the Orange Pass (which allows access to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building) to the Blue Pass (which allows full access to the White House complex except the first family's living quarters).

Most people are given an Orange Pass. If an Orange Pass holder wants access to the White House, they must be accompanied by a Blue Pass holder.

Michael Wolff was a Blue Pass holder.

Michael Wolff wandered around the White House for months and interviewed hundreds of people. And no one gave it a second thought.

Until Now!!!

Trumpery has gone batshit crazy (again), and is attempting to quash Michael Wolff's First Amendment rights.

Fox's Chris Wallace: “Here is the key question: What was Michael Woff doing in the White House in the first place? The president said (Thursday) night he personally never approved it, but his administration approved it. You assume the president had some idea that Michael Wolff was going around the White House.”

Wallace said Michael Wolff was set up to work in the White House by Trumpery’s communications office.

Wallace: "I talked to a former top senior White House official who said the word came down from the communications office early in the administration to play ball with Michael Wolff. They knew there would be a bunch of books about the first year of the Trumpery White House, and they figured most of them would be critical and they thought that — there is a question why they thought this — they would get a fair shake from Michael Wolff.”

Wallace said staffers were required by White House communications staff to participate in the book.

Wallace: “So the word came down to participate. People said, ‘Why did they talk to him on the record?’ They were told to. So the fact that he is there was a tremendous miscalculation on the part of the White House in the first place.”

Wallace: “I’ve been around this ting time, and this isn’t the first tell-all book that came out on an administration. Damage Control 101 — the president and all of his top staff ignore the book, they don’t say a word about it and don’t give it any extra oxygen. They certainly don’t have their lawyer threaten to sue ahead of time to stop publication. The publisher, the author and Steve Bannon, which all it does is add attention to it and make it an instant best seller.”

It's been reported that Michael Wolff has tape recordings of his two hundred or so White House interviews.  

I wonder how long it will take Bob Mueller to get his hands on them if he doesn't have them already?

So the president wants a book banned. He wants a political opponent in jail, and, for good measure, maybe the former FBI director, too. He thinks his former top adviser is insane.

This isn’t normal. And it’s not just “Trumpery being Trumpery,” the preferred dodge of elected Republicans. It’s a reflection of the president’s troubled mind and of his erratic, irrational judgment.

Bannon apologized to Trumpery.

Chief Trumpery policy adviser Stephen Miller described Wolff's book as “nothing but a pile of trash through and through.”  

And yet...

Miller attacked Bannon for picking on Baby Trumpery.  

Miller: “tragic and unfortunate” that Bannon “would make these grotesque comments  ("treasonous" and "unpatriotic") so out of touch with reality and obviously so vindictive.”

Now, either Wolff's book is nothing but a "pile of trash" or it's the truth.
