American hypocrisy?

What would be the response if 2 Anglo Americans did this to an African American?
On a personal note: I struggled hard, with the branding of the names of ethnicity.
To me an American is an American. I will never understand the labeling of a human. That in its self is absolute racism. Never classify or specify, just judge ones actions against humanity. There are no hate crimes, just crimes against humanity…..
Why must we label crimes?
To me that is a crime against all humanity. Where is the equality? Or American hypocrisy?
