* The Trumpery Foundation contributed $25,000 to Florida AG, Pam Bondi on Sept. 17, 2013, and was made four days after the Orlando Sentinel reported that Bondi's office was considering joining a lawsuit against Trumpery University.

* A few weeks after receiving the $25,000 contribution, Bondi announced that Florida would not join the lawsuit.

* The Trumpery Foundation didn't mention the political gift in its tax filings. The Trumpery Foundation made a false listing, showing that the foundation had instead given a $25,000 gift to a Kansas non profit with a name similar to Bondi's political group. That gift did not exist. Trumpery had given nothing to the Kansas group.

* Because Trumpery lied about the illegal donation to Bondi, Trumpery paid a $2,500 fine.  Nonprofit, tax-exempt foundations are barred by law from making campaign contributions.

Trumpery also hosted a fundraiser for Bondi in March 2014 at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
