FBI better off without Comey

Fired FBI Director James Comey has testified that President Donald Trumpery was never under investigation in the Russia deal. And he refused, at Trumpery's request, to clarify that information with the media, even after President Trumpery explained that that huge lie was impeding his ability to govern as president.

Comey must have felt intimidated when President Trumpery said "I hope" (not "I order you") "to see the Flynn case stopped. He is a good man."

People should remember that Trumpery is the president, and he can pardon Flynn if he gets charged with anything. The president can ask or talk about any investigation. He can fire Comey, and he did. Comey was upset when he was fired. Perhaps he is playing a get-even game.

Bottom line, nothing President Trumpery did was an impeachable offense. He has committed no crime.

Comey, on the other hand, leaked a memo to a friend to give to the press. That might not be a crime but his integrity is questionable. I think the FBI is better served with Comey gone.

Well Mary Jane, no one with authority ever said that Trumpery himself colluded with the Russians.  The focus has always been on Flynn, Manafort, et al., not Trumpery.  Because Trumpery can't shut his mouth, he's now being investigated for his actions as president regarding obstructing justice.  

Bottom line, if he did obstruct justice, he committed a crime.  If he committed a crime as president, it's impeachable.  This investigation is now all about Trumpery no matter what he tweets or you say.

But, you're probably right.  With your party controlling everything in Washington, it's doubtful Trumpery would ever be impeached no matter what crime he commits.

BTW...I view Trumpery as the biggest "leaker" in all of this.  He just can't shut his mouth.  I view Comey, not as a "leaker", but more as a whistle blower.

Thank god for whistle blowers.

Mary Jane Newell: Mueller is a Democrat  

Well, Trumpery is a Republican.

...and oh, I forgot.  Comey has been a registered Republican for most of his adult life.


He's now registered as "no party affiliation".


So maybe Mary Jane would like to bring Comey back?  Afterall, only Republicans are good, honest, truthful, hard-working, patriotic, Americans.

...and I'd take Robert Mueller's word over five deferment Donald J Trumpery's any day.

BTW...No matter what Mary Jane says, Robert Mueller is a Republican

Robert Swan Mueller III

Robert Swan Mueller III (born August 7, 1944) is an American lawyer and civil servant who was the sixth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, serving from September 4, 2001, to September 4, 2013. A Republican, he was appointed by President George W. Bush and his original ten-year term was given a two-year extension by President Barack Obama.

Before his appointment as FBI Director, he served as a United States Attorney, as United States Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division and as acting United States Deputy Attorney General.

Mueller grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Paul's School in 1962, where he was captain of the soccer, hockey, and lacrosse teams, and won the Gordon Medal as the School's top athlete in 1962.

He went on to study at Princeton University, receiving an A.B. in 1966, where he continued to play lacrosse. He has cited his teammate David Spencer Hackett's death in the Vietnam War as an influence on his decision to pursue military service. Hackett was a Marine Corps first lieutenant in the infantry and was killed in 1967, by small arms fire.[9] Mueller earned an M.A. in international relations from New York University in 1967 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1973, where he served on the Virginia Law Review.

While Trumpery relaxed in the security of his five deferments, Mueller enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968, attending officer candidate school, Army Ranger School and Army jump school. He then served as an officer leading a rifle platoon of the 3rd Marine Division during the Vietnam War; he eventually became aide-de-camp to 3rd Marine Division's commanding general. He received the Bronze Star, two Commendation Medals, the Purple Heart and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.

If you know anything about Mary Jane Newell, she's the first to get "personal" and paint people who disagree with her with a broad brush.

Here's an example: "Democrats are hypocrites. They are hateful, mean, nasty people and have no conscience or even a speck of decency".

Mary Jane, "you reap what you sow". Being a "so-called" Christian, you should be familiar with the idiom.

you liberals never discuss the issues ..You tend to get nasty and go after me personally ,,since when is it a crime for some one to have a different opinion that that of a liberal> I am getting sick of being called a racist,a nut, stupid, uneducated and out of touch because I have my own opinion,,not a party opinion, no talking points, just my simple opinion. I think I deserve the respect of the reader for that, you don't have to come at me and bully me. I will continue to have a voice as long as the media allows me.

I speak up when someone attacks me, but I have never called a letter writer on the phone as they do to me, or called them the nasty names I have been called,,This needs to stop, If you disagree with my letter, write one of your own ... I might or might not read it, but I respect your right to your own opinion,,Just don't get personal!

WASHINGTON — Early last August, an envelope with extraordinary handling restrictions arrived at the White House. Sent by courier from the CIA, it carried "eyes only" instructions that its contents be shown to just four people: President Barack Obama and three senior aides.

Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putin's direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

But it went further. The intelligence captured Putin's specific instructions on the operation's audacious objectives - defeat or at least damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, and help elect her opponent, Donald Trumpery.

Hackers with ties to Russian intelligence services had been rummaging through Democratic Party computer networks, as well as some Republican systems, for more than a year.

In political terms, Russia's interference was the crime of the century, an unprecedented and largely successful destabilizing attack on American democracy. It was a case that took almost no time to solve, traced to the Kremlin through cyber-forensics and intelligence on Putin's involvement. And yet, because of the divergent ways Obama and Trumpery have handled the matter, Moscow appears unlikely to face proportionate consequences.
