Lisbon extends Eldridge's contract

After a review of Town Manager Steve Eldridge's performance, the Lisbon Town Council voted to extend his contract for a year and give him a 3 percent raise of $2,400, instead of $5,000 allowed in his contract. Eldridge said because of budget constraints the town is facing, he felt taking the lesser amount was "the appropriate thing to do." He agreed to reduce his transportation budget by $1,000 starting July 1.

Isn't Eldridge's raise approximately the same amount of $$ as the unemployment compensation Jennifer Stowell Norris tried to glean from the Town of Lisbon?

yeah, the money he saved on that bogus claim is his increase. I think it should have been more, but he was gracious about accepting the current raise.
