Wrong. I know Scott but have not seen him for several years and have not spoken with him for just as many. He is a no-nonsense administrator, something that Rumford could use.

I agree Rumford needs a no nonsense TM but with the current BS they want a “YES” man such as the current TM. They had 2 no nonsense TM’s and pushed them right out of town until hey got their “YES MAN”. The problem is the TM has to answer to the BS and during the probationary period a TM has to be careful with a BS such as the one we have now. Perfect example is what they did to the fire chief. They thought they had a “YES MAN” when their man started to tell the truth they put together a plan to oust him.

The Town of Rumford, Maine, is currently accepting applications for the position of Town Manager.
Rumford is a dynamic community ready for growth. Located in a four-season resort area in western Maine, with a population of 6500, Rumford's municipal budget is $7.5M excluding the school.
Qualified applicants are experienced in budget analysis, financial matters, personnel management, labor relations, and are excellent communicators. Applicants should be well-versed in economic development, as Rumford is a single industry community.
Municipal management experience and a college degree preferred, but individuals with comparable work experience and education are encouraged to apply as well.
Salary is commensurate with experience and training.

Well Greetings Dear Posters .Having been absent it occurred to me that perhaps 911:Dispatcher might have offered up current tidbits of inside info regarding the why & why not of Who has and has not applied for the Rumford TM position.

Len is surely a real Dynamo/Also Kismet & I had the opportunity to see two interesting movies as of Late Flash of Genuis and Austrailia.

It occurred to me this week that perhaps the Rumford powers that be don't want Scott Cole he may not be what they want /How about it 9;11 dispatcher and Do you stay current with the Rumford reporter?

Well 9;11 Dispatcher I happened to be looking at thr Rumford reporter recently and it appeared to me that you were being unfairly attacked and I felt that it was most unbecoming of Ms Norriss and very unlady like and that is why I inquired

I was in a fog once, coming back from jigging for codfish outside of Portland Harbor. I knew it was serious when the captain put the lifejacket over my head and said, "Here, you're going to need this." I hope the search for a town manager won't be as challenging as finding Portland Pier was that day.

Do you suppose we will have that many applicants?

I would say definitely. It's a good paying job, Rumford presents some interesting challenges for a manager, the town has some great municipal structure already in place and tremendous potential for development with the right people in place.
