well, maybe a selectman, or 3, a "temporary town manager" , a wannabe lawyer and some other disgruntled (and who's to say they can't or shouldn't be?) folks.

I check The Rumford Reporter frequently. I have e-mailed friends and relatives I have around the country about the site. Many of my friends read it for entertainment and have told their friends about it as well. I'm sure her "hits" are high.xmashen wrote:when she brags about hits on her site, I have a feeling that a lot of it is just people like me checking

same here. I have friends who seriously question my sanity! (but they are intrigued at the small mindedness of the site)

Re: TRR moves to provide a "safe place".
Her intrepretation of the statistics is incorrect. At best, in the past month, the Distorter has received about 92 unique vistors per day. Realistically, this number is probably less, due to people clearing their caches, etc.
How many people living in Rumford now? 6,000?
So, 92/6000 equals a penetration rate of 1.53 percent. Hardly a fart of impact with the local population. And probably worse, as I'm guessing many vistors aren't local, just curiousity seekers.
Note that there aren't any paid advertisements on the site. Who would be so foolish?

The French word for 'bug' is 'bestiole'. How about Martine Bestiole from Bordeaux?
